I have been running 32psi in all 4 tires and they are wearing heavily on both outer edges.......
i have them at 35psi and i see the wearing just as bad
i have 255/70/16 Good years
is this happening to anyone else????
what can i do to fix this???
I put 40 in the front and 44 in the rear. I get better wear and mileage with them higher. I also have the Goodyear RT/S P255/70R16's and they wear like crap anyway. Look into a good LT tire when your's wear out.
You need to do two things. First is invest in a quality "Hunter"four wheel alignment for about $100. Next, buy a set of Michelin tires and you will never buy a Goodyear again!
These trucks all eat tires on the outside unless alligned properly.
Do you rotate your tires? If not, the constant turning on the fronts will cause it to wear the outside edges. This is more prominent on FWD cars, but I've seen it happen on every make and model of vehicle. There's about a 90% chance your alignment is out - most vehicles that I take care of have an alignment problem - but usually an alignment will cause wear on one particular side.
As far as the Hunter alignment goes, NTB/Sears will do your truck for $59.99. And the Hunter machine is the best!
BTW- Goodyear is crap. I'm a commission salesman, and I've lost plenty of money due to warranty issues from Goodyear. Michelins are great tires, but the newer Bridgestone tires are just as good, IMO, and way cheaper. Check out the Bridgestone Dueler A/T REVOs (NOT the duelar A/Ts; the A/T REVOs. The regular A/Ts aren't all that great) They can be had from Tirerack for about $123 if I'm not mistaken. NTB currently wants about $155 for a 265/70/17. I have Michelin Cross Terrains on my Expy, which are supposedly the smoothest and quietest tire you can buy for a truck. I put the Bridgestones on my brother's Expy, and I can tell you it rides just as smoothly and quietly as the Michelins, but the tread looks badass and the snow traction is incredible.

Matt, the Bridgestone Dueler A/T's are great tires. I have a set with 30K miles on them and they look/perform like brand new. Tirerack reviews are stellar as well. I've had nearly every name brand tire made and these are as good as they get. Granted, I'll probably replace them with the REVO's when they wear out, but for the price I paid, $113/tire for 285/75/16's, these tires cannot be beat.
