Just arrived home from Minnesota after driving over 1700 miles in the last 36 hours. I'm bushed. Here is the 1950 F2 I found with the rear bed, tailgate, fenders, and running boards I need for my other F2. Couldn't believe I found one this rust free right after I picked up a Ford Script flatbed from Abe.
Outstanding find! Seems some of the cleanest sheet metal comes from the northern plains and high desert. Great score. Stu
The interesting part is that even though I picked it up in Minnesota, it has a Idaho plate on it. The PO bought it not realizing that a F2 bed is different than a F1 bed and as such, couldn't use it on a F1 he is restoring..

By the way, anyone looking for a F2/F3 Ford script flatbed, please contact me via PM. I no longer need it with the purchase of this F2.
You certainly got lucky finding that one. But I don't know how in the world you or anyone for that matter, could drive that far in that amount of time. 400 miles in one day and it takes me a week to recuperate. Any way congrats on finding such a clean F2.
At least he brought it home. I just drove from Tucson to Oklahoma City and back. Looked at 4 Express Beds that looked great in photos. Not so good in person. The one bed I was going to buy had the fenders and tailgate sold before I got there.
BUT...............I did come back with a T-98 from a 1950 F6. Complete with bell housing, parking brake, shift lever, mount, PTO and levers. Even the bolts. All for $200! Made the trip worth it.
Found a really nice bed closer to home. Going to have to do like Doug did and buy the whole truck.
