I'm new to this chapter, My wife and I live in Lake Stevens, WA. we have a 1969 F350 Flatbed. I have a build thread under the Older trucks forum, in the 67-72 F series trucks. But I wanted to meet and talk with more local Ford truck owners. So I joined your chapter. I have an electrical background, so I hope that I can help you out sometime. Here are some pics of what I have done so far with the F350.
The elec. fuel pump was on the drivers side fender, so I moved it under the cab onto the frame.
I needed a fuel filter so I installed a water/fuel seperater close to the pump.
Now before you ask, that is not my wiring on the fuel pump. That was from the Previous Owner (PO). I'll fix it later. Next I upgraded the electrical wiring in the engine compartment.
Then I upgraded the alt. output wire, and the starter cable and the positive cable to the battery.
I didn't do the yellow and orange wires yet, That will come when I do the 3G Alt swap.
Now comes the grounds.
That last one weas the battery to frame cable, here is the other end.
Then I added a battery box.
Now I'm working on the cab clearence lights then the marker lights. Nothing works right now. After hunting season I'll change over to electronic ign., do the the Alt. upgrade then add an elec. rad. fan. so that's where I'm at.
