Pcm swap

Hey there guys, I just have a quick question about pcms. My current pcm is a NAW4 but I've heard the tde1 has a better program on it. Today I went to a local junk yard and saw a truck with a tde1 pcm, didn't buy it because I wasn't sure if it was a plug and play swap. Will I have to mod or swap other parts to have this pcm work on my truck? Also my truck is a 4x4 and the truck at the junk yard is a 2wd. Any help would be much appreciated.

It will swap.just plug n play.

I went from naw4 to tde0 and I really liked how the trans felt after. There is some drastic differences in the strategy from what i felt after.

I don't know how many different versions there are, I only know of the NAW4 and the TDE1 and TDE0. Another reason I wanted to swap out my pcm is cause I can't put a tuner on it. It won't accept it. Hopefully this one I buy will.

I had mine reflashed for my manual transmission swap. Am I going to be screwed when/if I get a chip?

IIRC , the PCM ignores trans input on a manual . IT may look for a TRS though .(Rhomps ) at start up

Tde1 should be better than the naw4 that is on my truck now...right? Also my Naw4 won't take a tuner or chip. Idk why.
