How do these wheels look?

So, do you suppose these will fit properly on my 05? What about the size tires I should look at. AT's preferably.
set of 4, 20"x 9 Ford f250, Excursion. Like new condition. Came off a 2014 F250 Tuscany Truck. 600.00

I'm pretty sure they will not fit. Others will chime in with a more sure answer.

They will fit, but will require spacers. Save your money.

Anything that fits an F-series truck from 2005 to present will not fit without spacers. Anything F-series from 99-04 will fit perfectly. So many people post wheels on Craigslist saying a wheel fits from 99-2015, it's not true. The lugs line up but backspacing changed in 2005 on F-series trucks. Remember the 05 Ex did not change when the F-series did. I learned the hard way and had to buy spacers for my 2015 F-series new takeoffs.

Nothing wrong with spacers that will put them back to factory offset!

Shop around for tire prices before you commit to a rim size, some of those 20 and up tires can get silly expen$ive and don't offer anything back in return other than looks. Even the 17"s and 18"s are not cheap, heck nothing is cheap anymore .......but tire cost is something I looked at before deciding on rims.

Then I bought the rims I liked best (OEM) and later bought expensive tires for them.

Measure the backspacing- from the mounting pad to the edge of the rim. Stock is 4.5", and the 05-up is 5.5". Good/ safe spacers (lug-centric and hub-centric) will run you about $350- 550.
There's really no issue using good spacers, but the cost is a bummer.

Well, my goal is a little beefier stance. I don't dislike the OEM wheels, just looking for opinions since I don't know much about this subject. I could keep the same wheels and go with a little bigger tire also, as long as it don't scrub. Yall are much more versed in tire sizes and what will work than I am.

When you say beefier, you want wider tires or tires that stick out beyond the wheel wells? Or both?

At or about 35"> tire diameter you will need to consider, lifting your truck.

If you want to stay away from lifting and all it's complexities you will want to stay with a tire that is

Maybe a little wider and taller. Not really interested in lifting, or no more than a couple inches if I do.

Agree totally except for the price of the spacers. That was a bit painful but you also get piece of mind. I got mine from Fred and haven't had one issue with them. Now that I have them, I'm keeping them.

Ya. I didn't go with prices because we were talking the mechanics of them. But yes good spacers are $$$$$! Your almost better off buying the proper set of wheels so you don't need spacers.

On my daily driver 97 Gtand Marquis I bought a set of 89 Lincoln LSC rims. The offset was different buy about 1 1/2". I bought my spacers from Sixityauto (yes that is the correct spelling). I think I paid about $100 for the 4 spacers. They don't make the stance wider....they just put the wheels back to the correct factory backspacing.

One thing on the X and Superduties is you don't really want to increase the track width because of the weak front unit bearings. More offset will load the bearings to much and will cause shorten their life!
