I bought my 07 Expy in 2010 and it had aftermarket 22s on it. Put new tires on in 2012 for the price of almost $1400. 30k later the tires are garbage and I don't want to spend that again plus it's brutal trying to keep the aftermarkets clean living on gravel. Thinking of buying a set of used factory rims. Is there truth to the F-150s having the same bolt pattern for a long stretch of years? Also, any recommendations on going with 17, 18 or 20 inch wheels? Thanks
They share similar patterns and offsets. Check ebay, tons of sets on there for both F150 and Expy and a lot of the retailers there will give you the fitment guide.
I never have understood the thought process of spending at least $3K on wheels and tires just to have a ****ty ride and more expensive tire replacements. You might even try getting someone interested in trading their stock rims for your aftermarkets. Depending on where your at you never know what kind of suckers you'll find on Craigslist. As far as the bolt pattern I did some searching on a few wheel websites and the 2003-present expeditions have a 6x5.31 inch pattern. This is the same as the 2004 and up F150's (including the raptor) and some navigators. Looks like you have allot of options to save some cash and improve your ride.
