47 Merc Panel

Hey guys I am getting my grandpas 47 Merc panel. The body is in good condition, I don't have the original engine, I just have the frame and body and some misc part. I would like to put a modern frame with rack and pinion on it. What frames can I swap onto it? I don't know much about these, the engine that comes with it is a 302 boss. I can't find a whole lot of info on these and it was made in Canada

Swapping frames isn't like swapping engines, nothing fits without a lot of massaging. Best to start with something that has the same wheelbase.

I have no*** problem adjusting it, I would prefer to bolt on a rack. Once I get the panel to my place I can work out w plan, I'm just really excited to fix it up. Also go to do a 47 ford pick up. Just needs to be put back together. Grandpa restored it 15 years ago and took it all apart and never finished it

A little bit of 42-47 Ford Panel History. Dane is somewhat of a guru.
