I'm really thinking about getting. last night i was on craigslist and saw a truck just like mine with one. So share pics of anyone who has one and any any problems with them.
I love the looks of mine. It's a moonvisor from Lund with the lights in it. However they can leak if not sealed right, and have to be removed in order to replace the windshield. Also I don't think you can buy them new anymore. Lund sold the design to keystone restyling so If you want new I would recommend calling them. Otherwise it's Craigslist or ebay for a used one.
Sorry I don't have good pics of it right now
i have the non light visor on my 88 for the past 27 1/2 years. never had any problems with it other than having to drill 3/8 holes int he recesses in the visor to drain water out of them so it does not slosh out on the windshield when you step on the brakes.
a dab of silicone on each screw when putting it in and a dab or two on the body between the screws and it will seal the holes and never move once dried.
this is the 90 just before it got parted out:
they mount with small stainless screws.
the stick on ones only last 2-3 years before they blow off going down the road at 65 mpg and get run over by a passing semi truck and get turned into little fiberglass splinters.
If never had one blow off , sorry . but I have fixed a crapload of rust & leaks on the others . Stainless steel screws or not , dissimilar metals cause corrosion . Just drilling the hole will cause corrosion .But alas , what do I know , I only do this for a living ...

and that is why you seal the holes before putting the screws in.
i have installed at least 20 also, and never had one come back with rust/rot/or leaks.
whatever. don't matter if you install 2 or 20000. it is all in the detail on how you do it.
if you seal the holes they do not leak. if you don't, they leak and then the panel will rust and eventually rot out.
i'll get a used one, i have one already in indiana. when i go on leave i'll have to ship it to washington. hope shipping doesn't cost too much. rubber gaskets and silicone too seal or just silicone sealant?
