If someone can get an ADCO cover out of storage, on a fiver, the straps fastened and be done in 10 minutes, he needs to get an award.

With mine, an ADCO DeLuxe, first of all, that bag you are supposed to store that unwieldy mass of Tyvek wont even begin to hold my cover so it needs to be dragged out of the very large garbage bin I bought purposely. It then needs to be laid out in my driveway top side up to make sure the side flaps are positioned over the top. Then since I'm only 6'4" tall and can't reach the 13' roof without help, need to figure some way to drag it up there as it just plain weighs too much to safely lift (shove up the ladder?). Since my wife has a 'glass back' she can't help much so I then need to pull it over the nose with a length of rope. If lucky, I'll only need to make a couple trips up and down a ladder - and I use a regular aluminum ladder set at the appropriate angle instead of the attached POS. OK, it's on, now it's time for those straps and ropes to fasten the back ...........

Up to two hours have now disappeared ...........

Now that I has used the "boat wrap", I will not, don't have to do that crap anymore! I'd much rather pay than play! I value my limbs and life more than doing that young persons work anymore! It's also lots of fun watching someone else do the job!

I drag it up from the back puling from the front of the cover. I can do it alone, but it is easier if my wife works from below and I work the roof. It is still really a pain, however, and in 10 minutes I don't even have all the cover up on the roof. Add some wind and it gets to be real fun.

Covering my 5th wheel is the worth thing ever, but I have covered it since day 1 and I think its worth the investment. I had an Adco and it lasted 4 years, this year I bought a new cover because the old 1 tore pretty bad with the wind and I didn't want to deal with it another year.

I forgot the manufacturer I went with this time but I will post up when I get it installed.

Since we're talking covers with what seems to be a lot that use them..........I intend to cover my trailer for winter, but here's my hangup. We are in southeast PA, and will be heading to Florida Dec 26 for a week. Given we can get snow anytime from end of November, am I just better to leave it uncovered til I get back? I'm guessing it'll be near impossible to get off if there's snow on it.......................

In your part of the world .... leave it off until you get back from FL. If you have virtually any snow on the roof you will destroy that cover getting the snow then it off.

I went through five ADCO covers in a 10 year period. The Tyvek on top lasts, but the grey part beneath will not hold up past two years. I finally gave up on ADCO, and just use a white tarp over the top half of the RV, retained with bungy cords. That seems to last twice as long. 10% of the cost for 200% of the service life. $30 for the tarp vs $300 for the fitted ADCO cover when on a steep seasonal sale at Camping World with Presidents Club (now Good Sam's club) discount.

Jswartz84 must have much milder climate. It's the brutal sun, combined with the wind, that destroys the fibers of the grey side material on the ADCO covers with the Tyvek tops.

Alright guys, put the ADCO cover on tonight. I guess it was 13 to 15 minutes.

After 4 years the cover is still in great shape. I keep my trailer a storage yard so other trailers help block the wind. Our typical winter day will have temp swings up to 40°.

Like I said before, the key to putting these on is to leave them in the bag, take it to the back of the trailer and only feed out what's needed as you make your way to the front of the trailer.

Maybe next time I'll have my wife video it so you guys can see how simple it really is.

I really want to see you do that on a 41-foot toy hauler dragging that cover along the roof and over the ACs and assorted vents and skylight. How big a camper are you talking here?

Maybe a 25 or so foot travel trailer but as Steve noted - a big RV such as our 38 foot 5er or a 40 plus foot toy hauler and including doing all of the strap.s and ties - doubtful. Then that bag - hrupppph - mine has no chance to fit in the supplied one

My RV is only 20 feet, and I'm challenged by the AC, the fridge vent, the bath vent, the overhead bed vent, all with the MaxxAir covers on them, plus the bat wing antennae, the plumbing vent, the stove vent, the ladder rungs, the awning that likes to hang up the cover, and the raingutters and little stand-offs at the edges of the rain gutters to keep the drips from staining the sides... all those little things are impediments to simply dragging a cover over the RV.

I definitely want to see your video!

My toyhauler is a 32ft. bumper pull. It has 1 A/C, 1 skylight, 4 vents, and a luggage rack around the back. A 41ft. trailer might and 2 more minutes or so I guess.

Maybe it's all about how you put it in the storage bag, I don't know.

Really I just walk the edges so nothing is in my way.

Oh... so you're retired from Cirque du Soliel? You walk the edges?
You're a braver man than I.
