I have a 2008 f350 with 110000 miles on it. I have a weird ticking noise above my oil pan. It's not super loud but it's noticeable. I have no clue what it is. If anybody has dealt with this before please inform me. Thanks in advance.

Hey Bubba,
My name is Todd, and I'm covering the forums while Crystal is on vacation. If you end up needing to make an appointment with your Ford Dealer, you may locate one here.
Additionally, I'll get your vehicle feedback documented; just send over a PM with your full name, phone number, and VIN.

Broken exhaust manifold studs are common on these engines and can create noises like ticking and whistling under load. But this is only speculation as there is always the chance the noise could be as severe as a mechanical failure or as simple as combustion noise. Regardless, you should drop by your favorite Ford dealer and have a diesel tech lend you an ear.
