Heater blower question

Hey all,

Im new to this site, and im sure its been asked....I am having issues with my blower and the air flow through the vents. I opened the blower box and found the blower appears to be working. I have air flow coming through the defrost, floor, and panel, but with the fan switched in high, the air flow is VERY minimal. Any suggestions on where to start looking for the problem? Oh ya...I have a 74 250 360 with factory ac.

does the air flow seem normal on lower speeds and just drops when you switch the fan speed to high??

The air flow increases when I turn it on high, it just isn't blowing at a high volume like it should.

There's a good chance that your cowl side troughs are full of leaves and debris. The RH side is where your heater air inlet is. Mine was completely choked with so much crap that when I has the fan on high, I could barely feel air movement at all. Now it is the correct strong airflow, pretty dang good.

So it use to work better and now it does not? Do your vent/position setting levers move as easy as before? Maybe something slipped in the lever attachment? Any chance a mouse got in there and built a nest?

So you pulled of the metal cover plate from the box in the eng compartment? NCS says something interesting about doing that.
