Poor lighting

I have a '99 f250 with the '005 front end and the riffraff pigtail conversion. Is there a bulb out there that actually gives me light? I cant hardly see and If I put my high beams on they dont do any better.

Everyone will hate you but HID kit maybe? Does that year have a separate High and Low beam bulb? If you go HID just don't get some purple or blue, go with a 4300 or highest 5k and it's not so ignorant for everyone else.

I will agree, the lighting is HORRIBLE on the 05. Have a 450 at work and everyone hates it after dark.

the lighting on the 05 is bad, i bought an hid kit from amazon, i used the kensun kit. it is actually pretty good compared to the opt7 kits. the ballast is very slim and it includes all the hardware to install it.

I upgraded to SilverStar® ULTRA when I had my '05', they had plenty of light at night.

I agree with the Silverstar ultra's - I have them in my regular/high beams and my fogs on my '06. I never really feel like I need extra light under regular driving conditions, and if I do I flip my high beams on. That being said, I can run my high beams and fogs at the same time because of the way I wired them, but it's PLENTY of light.
