the new guy

hi name is scott. from Nebraska. just bought my first 75' ford f250 highboy. it sat for 3 years so I plan on bringing it back to life from ground up. I also powder coat. so I am actually planning on powder coating roughly 95% of the truck inside and out! I know a lot of you do not think its possible and I have asked a million people if they have ever seen it and the answer is no. ive already tested it on a few junk body parts. and the results are baby smooth and looks great.
I plan on overhaulin the motor a little bit just to give it some extra kick. I have a 390 in it now. and plan on reusing it.
my axels are d60 in the rear and d44 in the front. my plan is to find some axels off of a 76-78 d60 and d44hd. just cause I would rather run disc brakes instead of drum. just what I would much rather run.
id have no problems uploading pictures of my progress if anyone is interested. right now cab, motor, tranny, and all body parts are off. the box is gone just cause there was noway of saving it so I had to throw it away. all I have left on the frame is leaf springs on the front and rear and the axels. then read to powder coat frame. going with a matte black, maybe flat (yes there is a big difference)
and for the people that don't think its possible to powder coat the outside of the truck, I have no problem explaining in detail on here if any of you would like know how I will go about it.
any input would be great. good or bad its nice to hear both sides. look forward on talking to you all and learning more about the highboys and such. and excited to be a member!
thanks!
