TBC harness
Well, now that I think about it. I guess just follow the harness from the back to the front....
LOL.....silly me
No change really. Replaced all fuses. No change. Read tonight about an issue where the harness comes out the firewall known to corded where it plugs in. Haven't found that connection yet.
Just read that a ABS sensor under master cylinder can cause trailer fault (never knew there was one there) ??? Have to see?
After all the reading the last few hours. Going to pull TBC and check wires there. Someone here mentioned wires just popped out when he removed the controller and resoldered them and that cured his problem.
If I use the manual side of controller. I get the same results. I heard there's a TSB for it but have been unsuccessful in finding it. If it exists.
Or is it just plain not putting any power out the trailer plug?
The sensor you're talking about is a pressure transducer on the master cylinder that senses the pressure so the TBC knows how many volts it needs to send out depending on how hard you push the pedal. The first generation controllers will only put out 1-3 volts below 15 mph no matter how hard you push the brake. If the transducer does not show a reading you will get a TBC Fault message.

This sounds interesting. Someone else suggested replacing the master cylinder on their truck. Which cured their TBC problem. I'll be looking into this today. When I press the brake I do see the bar read as I press harder on the pedal.
Will that pressure sensor make the master cylinder feel funny and or act differently?
Thx
Does the reading stop working when you get the error message?
If it was bad it would have no effect on the master cylinder but if the master cylinder was bad it may effect the transducer.

Ran codes and C2808 was stored. "Output circuit open"
Checked voltage at harness end on truck. Showed 12.5 volts (blackk wire, pin 1, battery feed)
Check all remaining pins in correlation to singal, stop and tail. All workEd correctly. When checking E brake pin 5. I was getting values all over. .05 to 13 volts without touching pedal! Thought this strange if I got code C2808, stating circuit open
So, I'll do some more checking this weekend.
Oh, also had code U1900. I think that was a can communication buss error???
Thx for the feedback.
