I have a 2013 F350 4x4 Lariat CC with Ford factory Synch/navigation. for no apparent reason, my gps/map shows me a hundred yards off coarse, and at times, it appears "lost". I has worked perfectly for 63,000 miles. I did recently have it serviced at the dealership and I bought new tires that are larger.Any ideas? Thanks.

Hi willtim1234,
This is a common issue that occurs after modifying the tire size. I recommend contacting your dealer to find out if the available GPS update can resolve this for you.
From what I understand, tire size shouldn't make a difference in the actual position of the vehicle. As it is pulling data from the satellite to the receiver in the truck to locate the gps position. I think the only difference that tire size would make is the time and miles calculation to your destination.
It does seem weird that it happened after the tire swap, so maybe the newer systems use vehicle dash (speed and distance) to assist in vehicle position? Perhaps there's something wrong with the transceiver, or its not picking up enough satellites to "triangulate" the position correctly.

There's probably nothing wrong with the gps components. This is a common issue after changing tire size. Most times, the reboot is all that's needed.
The master reboot made no difference. I am at a loss. I don't understand how changing tire size could make a difference. I can take a $100.00 Garmin unit, put it in any vehicle, and it will show me exactly where I am.
A GPS gathers signals from satellites in space and tells you where you are on the earth from triangulation of those signals.
Tire size should have no effect at all on the location being off.
We use gps in all the helicopters and they are accurate to within less than 3 feet always, unless a bad storm is in the area.
Sometimes a bad storm throws the signal off.
I can land in the exact same spot after flying around for hours and hundreds of miles. If i land exactly back on the marks in the grass from where i left and had that spot saved in the gps. It will usually have no more error than showing 1 foot difference. Although I have seen it show as much as 3 feet at times. But 100 yards is ridiculous.
Maybe see if something is blocking the antennas signal in some way.
Poor signal is the only reason i have seen any of my gps units far off.
Even my old and very cheap garmin etrex handheld.
Its dirt cheap, and on a bad day could be off as much as 7 or 8 feet.

Seville, you are the man. Disconnected my battery for 20 minutes and drove 35 miles on the interstate. GPS/map are back spot on. I will keep you posted. Thanks a million!
