Exclamation Recall Notice

Hey, I currently drive a 2001 Ranger XLT with wilderness HT tires, I read the links you gave on the certain recalled tires, but I was wondering if I should have gotten a notice in the mail in order to exchange my tires, or if I should call the nearest Bridgestone/Firestone dealer and just ask them to replace them? If you could offer any help it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Recall Notice

Firestone HT's weren't involved in the recall. It was the AT series I believe. When I got my 2000, Firestone HT's were the tires that came on the vehicle. Hated them, so I got some Michelins. When I traded the 2000 on a 2002, the HT's were on the 2002. Had them swap the tires from my trade in.

Recall Notice

The "exploding" tires were definately the AT series (my first two trucks both had them) and within the AT series only those from a specific plant with a manufacture date falling in a specific range. As noted earlier your best source if information is the Bridgestone/Firestone site, and if memory serves the Ford site will also get you the same information.

Good luck on your hunt.
