Bulb or Fuse?

2 questions. Is there a bulb or a fuse for the floor board stick panel (Park, Reverse, Neutral, Drive, 1, 2) cannot see the letters at night. Also the lights on the radio are out, cannot see the stations or time? 90 4.0L

Bulb or Fuse?

There are replacement bulbs you can get for both. The indicator bulb for the shifter is under the cover and the radio you pull out, remove the top cover and replace the bulb. On late models you have to replace the whole radio, so you are fortunate.

Thanks, but how do you get under the shifter cover? DOes it pop out or are there tabs?

Floor shifter cover just pulls off. Radio bulb is a dealer item. None of the major parts stores carried it.

Bulb or Fuse?

I can't budge the four screws that hold the radio in. I even broke a screwdriver on one of them. I sprayed them with wd 40 and one screw finally came loose, but I the other three I couldn't loosen.

regarding the cover for the shifter, it looks like two parts a trim part and the part that is attached to the shifter that has the letters on it. Do i pop off the trim part first? and then the other part or what?
