Engine Swap questions
Hi there , i'm new to the forum ... got an 2002 explorer v6 4.0l wich i dint took care of ....engine is running fine ,but the body soon about to turn to dust , one of my coworker got an 02 explorer v8 wich i bought for 750$ canadian since the engine is knoking....Just takin a look at all my options....Gonna drop the pan tonight...Got cost prices on bearings so depending what i find i might rebuild it....got that v6 i could swap aswell ... and the other option wich is a v8 swap....went around couldnt find another Romeo 4.6 in good shape....Is it possible to swap a windsor in ? without too much hassle ? Dug around the website...kinda realized it's doable tranny will bolt ect...but i would like to know from someone who did it first if possible....feel free to chime in and thx for all the info..Great community....usually im more toward k20a.org
