Wait 2 weeks. The 2017 SD will be revealed at the TX state fair Sept 23/24th. Don't order until you see what will change.

Meh... I specifically ordered before the 2017 was revealed and the 2016 order banks closed because it seems Ford has really dialed in these trucks. I'm sure the 2017's will be totally awesome, but with that comes a significant jump in price as well as a lot of unknowns with the new transmission and technology. I'm not scared of the aluminum, but I certainly don't want to be the guinea pig for the 8- or 10-speed autos that will be attached to the new truck.

This is what I'm doing. The 17 reveal happens before the 16 order banks close so why not make an informed decision...

Not 100% sure. It will be a shorter build run than regular years but will still be open when all the 17 info is available... or so I'm assured. I talked with the owner of my dealer who assured me of this. I'm sure one of his salesmen would have told me I better order now because the 16's bank will close in about 7 minutes...

Ok, I went ahead and ordered 2016 SD Lariat with the power stroke. They said about 10-12 weeks til the truck arrives. Now I need to sell my two other trucks. ��
