need help!!! 75 f250 highboy!

need help!!! 75 f250 highboy!
I have a 75 f250 highboy. building from ground up. wanting to take the truck on road trips down the highway and the interstate, not just to cruise around town. I got dana 40 in front and dana 60 in the back. id like to switch out axels with a 99 or newer f250 superduty axels that way I can drive down the road and interstate with no problem plus id have disk breaks instead of drums.
would this idea work for sure? would I need that transfer case or would my old one work? its got a 390 in it.
any input would help me out a lot thanks!
