I understood Greg's post to indicate that he wants to post a link from his sale of his truck in the marketplace to this forum.

He already has an ad in the marketplace, right?

Yes and there is sticky thread near the top of this forum that was created specifically to give us here in this forum a heads up/first notice that there may be something of interest to us listed for sale in the classified section.

The whole purpose of my OP in this thread was, I didn't want to detract from decorum and violate the rules of this forum. But wanted to give a brief heads up If possible without breaking the rules/code of conduct.

Yes Sir, that is correct. My ad was already posted in the Marketplace when I started this thread. However after posting it in Marketplace I never saw any listing or notice of an ad on our OBS specific forum to give the members here a heads up about the sale. I just assumed the system would automatically generate a basic notice and post it here for the members to see who would most likely be interested since the vehicle sale in question is a 97 7.3L OBS.

I looked at the top of our specific forum for a sticky and don't see what your referring to. If your talking about the Marketplace link at the very top to access specific sale categories, I know about that. However it doesn't as you said, " give us here in this forum a heads up/first notice that there may be something of interest to us listed for sale in the classified section.". Unless you click on that specific title-(Marketplace)....then choose the specific category how would anyone in this forum get a "heads up/first notice that there may be something of interest".

I don't know maybe I'm missing something here, if so please point me in the right direction for clarification. What at first I perceived to be a simple straight forward process now seems to be rather ambiguous, convoluted and confusing.

Please don't take any of this the wrong way. I'm very thankful to have access to this forum and the many benefits it provides. I have and continue to benefit tremendously from it's many members here with vast knowledge and very helpful and informative advice about our trucks, and I Gratefully Appreciate It!
