I am having a problem with my shocks on my truck. On the front they want to pop and click and they wear out fast. Could someone tell me, would it be best to put 4 wheel drive shocks on or is there a better solution?
I used to go through Monroe's pretty fast on my 1993 F-150. Lucky for me I had them under warranty through Midas. The last time I had Gabriel's put on and they've held together well.
I suggest going with a better brand of shocks. The factory's were the best.
Check out this site. http://www.kyb.com/shocks.html It says their shocks were original equipment on Fords along with others. Did a search to see if they listed OE shocks for an '89 F150, but they didn't have any listed. Maybe they didn't make the OE shocks. - Cody
1953Man,
We have a 96 bronco and just replaced the factory shocks w/KYB Gas-Adjust's. The ride over many undulating roads is much-much better than the stock shocks, even when they were new in 96. Ride over raod expansion strips is less jarring too.
They have "lifetime" warranties too.
