Working on cleaning up a bunch of random wiring the previous owner had installed but have no idea what this device is. It sits below the steering column and is attached to the plastic part of the dash that is below there. Anyone have an idea?
That is a remote ultrasonic behavior modifying device. Do you see where it is pointed at? Your GF, Wife or SO has the remote. Mess with them and they activate it and it messes with your Junk and drives you crazy and causes much pain.
Seriously you need to trace the wires and see where it goes. Is it a push switch? If so push it and see if it does anything.
Shoot that is a foot I forgot what that looked like
I will check on the wiring today - it did not look like it tied into the brake controller. The it looks just like a magnet so that may very well be it. Thanks for the help!
Careful- it may be related to that chunk of iron that's bolted on to the transmission crossmember of all Excursions. That could be the release button to drop the iron thru the radiator of a tailgater.

I am hoping thats the case. Could come in handy on the freeways here in Phoenix.
