Anyone know how you go about getting a motor shipped? How about costs, lets say from coast to coast.

Check with a local dealership. They have to ship long blocks occasionally, and get a MUCH better freight rate than you would.

you will need to make a crate of some sort and mount it to a skid. then you will need to call around to trucking company's and get some prices to see who is the most reasonable. also check to see where they are located at, you will propably have to take it to their dock, unless you are able to have a semi pull in and turn around at your place.
