Got new tires on the girl today. I was going to get a set of Cooper Discoverer AT3s, but then I learned that Mill's Fleet Farm has their Road Runner APT Plus on sale with a $50 instant gift card rebate when you purchase a set of 4. That brought the price down to $530 and the Cooper tires would've been $630 after the mail in rebate. Being that I am currently a poor Student Teacher, I had to make the more economical choice. I've had these tires on my wife's vehicle for a couple years now. They wear like iron and do really well in the snow for her so I figured they would do just fine for me.
The dirty little secret? The Road Runner tires are made by Copper in the good 'ol US of A
Yes I stuck with the factory size of LT235/85R16E, but I have found that those "pizza cutters" do cut through the snow a lot better than the wider tires which seem to float on top.
