once i get my stall problem fixed what would someone do to increase reliability and not go crazy buying aftermarket things not needed for a grocery hauler ?
About the only thing i do is haul hay and sometimes pull the tractor on a trailer
Make the brute breathe better, and let the air out better.. A freer flowing intake system, and a much freer exhaust will make a lot of difference, and let the engine breathe. Get yourself a couple of gauges, at least an exhaust temp, and maybe a tranny temp.
If you have an auto tranny, get it beefed up, so it will last a long time - Ford cannot build a decent tranny, they never could. Put a shift kit in it, and keep it clean.
A chip is handy, or reprogramming it, for extra power, but if you don't need it, don't do it.
