does anyone know for sure if my 90 ,f350 ,with 460 ,will run right if I install full length headers? I am looking at Doug Thorley Tri Y headers. My engine is stock except for a K&N filter. I still have the cat but it has been hollowed out, also have a flowmaster cat-back system. Any help greatly apreciated!
I've had the Thorley's on my '89 Centurion F-350 for 2-3 years now and it runs great. I'm completely stock except for a K&N Filtercharger. I went the cheap route on the rest of the exhaust sys. and eliminated the cat completely, dual 3" pipes out the back with 12" glasspacks cut in before the rear axle(straight pipes alone were way to loud ).
You will have to modify a few brackets: dipstick, hose mounting brackets etc.
Basically everything that uses the stock exhaust manifolds for mounting points.
Nice thing is the o2 sensor hole comes all ready positioned in the correct position. The nickle plate turns a nice Ford Blue also.
Good Luck.
