6.0 L Problems!
I just want the power I had when I bought it.
What happened? Did the turbo blow? On larger IH engines the turbo blows if the hose comes off. Why won't Ford fix it, don't they know what is wrong? Can anyone tell me?
Thanks
Roger
WOOW this old thread
Just keep in mind the PCM will Sweep the Veins in turbo this will cause a sound change and does it at set intervals at Idel
any drivability Issues????
Any Gauges????
I take it this is more than the veins sweeping does run bad
Maybe run by oreilyes autoparts or autozone they scan for DTC for free
But you need to see some sensors
is the VGT Valve New too with new turbo
Replaced the turbocharger assembly ( valve not sure )

There is No Waiste Gate on the 6.0L they are diff than the 7.3L
The VGT Valve controls the turbo veins to control Boost output depending on the info the pcm receives from other sensors like
Acc Pedal
Baro
MAP
EBP
MAF
and may vary year to year

Gotcha...Just replaced the EGR Valve and reading that there maybe two differ ones by production date, so I'll check that. What do you think about me checking the Temp Sensor and that it's not choked up sending EGR into a loop cycle ? Learn something every payday about my 6.0 L.

The EGR Valve dont begin to work until 185* EOT IIRC
Is the truck Low on Power????
I mean the Turbo will have a change in tone as it idels this is because the PCM will sweep the Turbo Veins to keep them from sticking
so some change in turbo sound/tone is normal

PCM- onboard computer
You need to go to Auto Zone and pick up a ScanguageII for $160.00 you will be able to connect to your PCM and see every sensor your truck has and these guys will help you figure out whats going wrong with it.
