New guy 1996 F-150

Hello everyone! First post on the forum, hope I'm in the right place. Just wanted to say hello and show off my truck I'm very slowly in the process of building. Picked up the ole girl in February of this year at 79k miles, has 91k on her now (yeah, I drive a lot lol). 1996 F-150 XLT with the 4.9L and 5 speed, 4x4 with 3.55 LS rear end. Currently leveled on 31s. So far I've replaced the front axle u joints, ball joints, front brake lines and hoses, all brakes minus drums and calipers, fresh fluids, added some lights and a bull bar, and other things I'm sure I've forgotten. Runs like a top! Plans are 4" on 33s, a flat bed with light bar, custom front and rear bumpers, regear to 4.10s, LS front and rear with new axle shafts, new intake and exhaust (both home brewed), sliders, and a nice winch. Toying with a SAS idea down the road, but not right now. Only pic I have at the moment, just after the front end work and leveling coils (RC 1 1/2"). Thanks for looking!

A few more pics. A few dents and dings here and there, but well earned.

I was thinking the same thing. I need to do this badly to mine.

If you're referring to the first pic, the door wasn't fully closed. However yea, the door fit is a little off on both of them. I've read a write up on it, doesn't seem too hard. Need to fix the cruise and windshield washer nozzles as well.

In the pics the passenger side looks fine but the driver side looks like it needs the work. I looked atall the pics cause the first one looked like it feel alittle but when I looked at all that's when I noticed it better. But in the grand scheme of things the washer nozzle is more important.

On a side note, I replaced the turn signal switch a couple days ago. The washer nozzles haven't worked since I got it, nor has the cruise. I've toyed with the cruise a little, haven't looked at the washers much. Any write ups on those around here or are they pretty straight forwards once you look at them? I'm fairly mechanically competent so I figure it shouldn't be too hard once I take a break and look at them. I have a wife, 2 kids with one on the way, and work 2 jobs, so down time to diagnose things are slim haha. I miss my 95 F150, looked just like this one color and all. It was a 5.0, only real difference in the two. It was my first vehicle and traded it in at 213k miles cause the ex wife couldn't drive a manual. Rebuilt the fuel system, brakes, front end, all the vacuum lines, and several other things. Oh the days of being 18 with little to spend money on other than a truck and dates lol

Do you know if the washer pump works? If so the rest will be easy. At the top of the list of threads there are stickys that you can look through. If there's nothing there just ask and You will get a pluthera of knowledge.
