this may sound wierd but it seems to me like you cant find any aftermarket front air damn kits for the 87-91 f-series. i have an 88 f-150 that i put fog lights on and i've bent one up on a stick in work and am worried about snow soon. im worried about pulling into my driveway when theres alot of snow at the end and wiping em both out coupletly. i have them mounted undernieth the bumber and cut out the stock air damn were they are. i was wondering if any one has gotten crafty and made there own? or if someone found one. i would think that one's from the 92-96 would fit fine with SOME modification or am i wrong. i would really like some kind of protection that would maybe also improve the appance of the truck for fairly cheap. any idea's would help thanks.
Visit this website. I don’t know if it’s in your price range but check it out. If you want to customize yours, you could make some kind of bracket for the lights to make them stronger.
I don't think a 92-96 would fit well at all. I've seen several aftermarket replacement valances, in different places, such as the website Madman666 posted.
I have 2WD 83 that sits low and I wanted an unbreakable "dam" on the bottom. Here's what I did - it's very plain -just a smooth black strip which I mounted with a piece of angle iron bent to the shape of the bumper (curved back at the sides). It's a piece of black rubber baler belting. It's bought by the foot at a farm equipment dealer in the parts department. Available widths are about 3" to 8". Pick the size you think would be suitable for your truck and buy about 6'(width of truck). It's not a fancy moulded look but it's indestructible and cheap. I'm very pleased with the result.
