Hello, Just new here but would like to stay. Just purchased a EB and are trying to find out if all is well. The vin is on paper as U1556LT16977 and is not on the vehicle .The title has not showed up yet and I am not feeling good about this purchase from across the country. Can any one shed some light on this Vin code for me .Thanks Ben
There should be a engine code in the vin. The vin will be on the frame. Not sure on the Bronco, but a F-250 has it stamped on the top right a couple of feet back from the front end.
Mike,
Thanks for the responce. The vin is not on the frame in the manual it is soppose to be in glove box but has been removed.I have a very bad feeling about this and could use all the support I can recieve.
Thanks Ben
You are right about the glove box but I am sure it will be on the frame also. The early 70's trucks used a vin tag on the driver's door but also had the frame stamped. I have even seen this on a 56 pickup. There are early Bronco sites that might help.
Yeah there should be a VIN on the frame and one on the glove box door. If there's no glovebox door then I believe it's on the frame on the passenger side by the engine. Not sure though. You may want to try ClassicBroncos.com as they can pretty much tell you anything about a Bronco. It is down temporarily right now as He is changing servers. It's suppose to be back up today though.
