Little update- I discovered when I cracked my dana apart that the a previous owner had put in a lot of new stuff. New Timken bearings all around. Not so much as a single wear mark on any of them. I've cleaned them out as best I can, but I'm gonna put them through a solvent tank, too. They spin very well, with the exception of one that had a bunch of grease and gunk in it.

My other real question- Can I use the hubs/locking assemblies from my D50TTB in the D60? They look to be the same but I wanted to be sure. My D60 hubs had a bunch of hardware broken off in them. On one hand, I'd like to upgrade to a set of warn hubs. On the other hand, this axle has already cleared $2400 for total cost.

How hard would it be to fab a track bar? Or could I make one with heim joints, and thick wall pipe?

You should be able to use the hub locks from the TTB. I used the hub locks from my TTB when i did the D60 swap because I had warns and wanted to keep them.

And most aftermarket track bars you can order use heim joints. I'm sure you could fab one up pretty easily with the right knowledge and equipment.

Perfect. The ones in my TTB are in perfect shape, so that simplifies my swap. Thank you!

Got my Dana 60 in. Finally. It wasn't too bad of a swap, other than the fact that I did it in a downpour of rain. While the ride isn't quite as smooth, I have to say I like it better than the twin beam. I like the way the rig sits a bit better too- My nose used to sit just a bit higher than the rear.
