2004 no start all parameters met
My son bought a 04 f250 that didn't run. It sat for a couple of years, only has 130k on the clock. He plans on swapping the motor/trans into a 96 crew cab short bed but we want to hear it run before we strip it down. Here is what we had, fixed, and are at now.
First, high pressure oil was only 300 or so, injectors would not fire, ficm 48v while cranking, ficm sync, cmp/ckp sync (1,0,1,0,1,0...)
replaced hpop. 940+ psi and ipr around 40% while cranking, ficm sync, cmp/ckp sync, fuel pressure 55psi, ficm 48v and can hear the injectors firing.
can hear injectors cycle strong when the key is turned on, everything looks normal, acts normal. Upon cranking, it is like it almost wants to fire. little bit of white smoke out the tail pipe. Acts as though it is not getting fuel.
Advice from a mechanic was to replace the cam and crank sensors, did that and no change.
my codes as read with autoenginuity
P0480 cooling fan 1 control circuit (could be because we unplugged it while trying to start)
P0603 internal control module KAM error
P1000 OBD systems readiness test not complete
B1832 transfer case differential lock-up solenoid circuit failure
B1483 brake pedal input circuit failure
B1359 ignition run / accessory circuit failure
B1352 ignition key in circuit failure
B1360 ignition switch circuit open
What should I check next?

I could be wrong but 940 cranking and 40% seems high--but again could v3 wrong. On the otger stuff you probably need to check all wiring. Could be since it's sat so long critters may have gotten into it. That's just what comes to mind for me--I'm no expert for sure.

It is starting to come to life. After lots of cranking and charging, it is hitting pretty good now but will not light off. We have some black smoke coming out of the tailpipe also. I believe that it is still fuel related. We removed the FPR just to look at it thinking it may be stuck or something. Just basically trying anything. Maybe the injectors are just stuck with some crappy gelled fuel in them from sitting for so long
Anybody have any other ideas

Also forgot to mention that we removed the egr valve and put an egr delete plate in its place. It is still hooked up and sitting on top of the engine. Still have the egr cooler attached.
I will check the value tomorrow and post up the results.
It cranks strong. Oil pressure comes up quick on the dash, great hpop pressure, fuel pressure above 55psi, ficm sync, cmp/ckp sync, ficm 48v, injectors can be heared firing within a couple seconds of cranking, engine rpm around 160.
The more we crank on it the closer it sounds like it wants to run.
We have tried unplugging the fan, ebp and icp. No change.

You did mention the truck has Sat along time. Did you remove the air cleaner assy and make sure no critters built a home restricting air flow? Some motors also have a butterfly valve in the intake where the cold side CAC tube connects. I guess it is possible that it could get stuck in place and block airflow as well. Have you popped off the intake to the turbo and made sure it isn't locked up as well? Sitting is hard on them for sure. You should be able to spin it freely with your fingers.

Well, the starter is smoked. Going to change that today. Managed to reinstall the egr valve. It read .84v koeo.
It just sounds like it is not getting any fuel. The fuel bowl fills up quick, pressure is 55+ as read with a gauge hooked to the test port.
We removed the fuel pressure regulator and replaced the spring with the one that came out of my truck (changed from 50 to 55psi). Is there something in there that needs to be cleaned? I am at a loss here. It sounds great cranking once the injectors start firing. Even sounds like it wants to outrun the starter. But it just won't fire off.

It is alive. It finally fired up. I guess it sat for so long which caused everything to just stick. Ultimately it ended up being the hpop that caused the previous owner to let it sit. After it did fire up and run, it was pouring coolant out the muffler. We knew the egr cooler was blown because the intake was wet. Already planned on doing head gaskets and studs, egr delete, oil cooler but just wanted to hear it run before it was tore down..
