Hello everyone!
I recently got a 2001 5.4L F250 SD as an 18th birthday gift from my parents. We've had it for probably 8 years now and we've only put 30k on her, totalling 40. Needless to say shes sat for quite a while and has a few rust issues, we've replaced the brake lines twice, had to replace the drivers side caliper a few days after i got it and there's still a few things to be done.
I'm ecstatic to have her and i want to do a few things as well as have a bit of a knowledge base i can fall back on while i'm fixing it up so i found you guys!

The truck is an Island Blue/Silver 2001 F250 Super Duty extended cab with an 8' bed.
Only things that we've added or changed are:
Added a chrome diamond plate truck box
Replaced the stereo and speakers
Put on a set of 265/75/r16 Grabber AT2 All terrains sitting on what i think is a set of AR62 Outlaw American Racing Rims

Inspection ran out in April and we need to do a few things:
Fix the body rust, mostly on the cab doors and on the fenders
Find out whats causing the ABS light to be on
Replace all the 4x4 vacuum lines
Fix the E-brake cable where it snapped at the factory connection under the drivers side door

Other than that i'm looking forward to talking with people on here and getting to know more about my truck as well as everyone elses rigs.

Good to see a family truck and hope it stays that way. Our daughter who is 32 is the one most interested in our 56 F100 and will probably keep it going when we turn it over for whatever reason.

Why is this? I've got the same problem with both my daughters, they like my '65 more than anything, although my 16 y/o is starting to appreciate the Excursion.
