Showing more of my truck ignorance. How much can a 1995 Ford Flareside haul/tow?
To me a half ton truck is a half ton truck, but the guy I bought the truck from made it sound like you had to be gentle with it because of a fiberglass bed.
To me a half ton truck is a half ton truck. Is that not the case?
My uncle has a 2001 F150 ext cab short bed with a 351 (I only have the 302). We have towed a car on a trailer with it a couple of times, and I have hauled a whole skid of shingles in the bed, along with a few other things, and it seem to be just fine.
So is a truck a truck or is the Flareside a car that looks like a truck?
Your flareside is def a real pickup, but I would heed his warning and be careful not to get too close to the fenders
Thanks for the reply. Yeah the fenders are fiberglass and luckily the set below the side of the bed, but the bed is metal so I thought it would be as good as any other truck bed, just not as wide.
