Anyone got a link for these that fit 70's Ford's? Before I maybe find someone to fab one? Do they need rails? I know most people think they look stupid, but I plan on hauling a bunch of wood this winter. Don't want my rear winder getting smashed out.

I believe the Protech catalog lists the same rack for 73-96.

 

i worked for protech they do amazing work. i would go with them or check out Wickum's Welding Service they do even better work. just beautiful products.

 

Should be an easy and cheap deal from your local welding shop, or VOTEC class?A little different looking, beats a busted back window anyday.

Most can be made to mount in the stake pockets, but also using some stand down pipe mounted to the bed is extra stout idea. Also good HD expanded metal makes for no worries when a 18" piece of green oak hits it.

You can also make them mount like bed rails....ideas off the web are endless.
