I was at a stoplight today after pulling off a 100 + mile highway trip and I have it throttle and it was sluggish, I looked at my EBP reading on my scangauge and it was staying a constant 6.3 psi. I let off the throttle and the famous turbo bark sound happened. It did that for a few minutes and the EBP readings went back to normal and the turbo bark went away.
Ebp is probably good then however it probably needs pulled and cleaned along with the tube.. now you can look at other things. What did the vgt # look like when it was acting goofy?
May have just been an engine brain far
I'd keep a watch on it. Reason I mentioned toe ebp was mine did the same thing a while back and was afraid I was going to have to do a turbo clean. My vgt and ebp was out of whack BUT only had a so called power loss one time that lasted about 5 miles. The loss was really just shift pattern. It would still haul just higher rpm before it would shift. I unplugged the ebp and all returned to normal until I could get a new ebp in. I actually got codes for low boost but my boost was normal. Forgot to ask what year as I think some early models use a different strategy for ebp.
