4spd where a c6 was, same mount?
HI guys,
I am putting a np 435 4spd inplace of a c6. In my 1980 f-150 short bed stepside 4x4. does it use the same mount? YOU know the the long plate with two big bushings on each side. I have put a 4spd in a two wheel drive, but all i had to do was turn the cross member around and it was marked for 4spd.

Depends on the engine. Some use the same trans mount for both manual and auto, some use different mounts.
On 1980 trucks, the parts catalog doesn't distinguish 4x2 from 4x4 for trans mounts, so they should be the same for both.

Mine originally had the NP-435, and it uses the style in the top L detail. Did you have to turn yours around or anything?

Nope,
Didn't have to turn it around or anything. Transmission just sits on that plate. (same mount as yours)
