On my '55 the full VIN is on the frame at the crossmember in front of the red mark that Joe marked in his picture.

I had Joe, from Joe's Rod Shop (Branson), file a petition with the state for a declaratory judgement, to get the title for my '40 stake truck. He's an attorney, btw. Cost me about $500, when it was all said and done.

Took about a month to make it happen.

Bret or is it Brent I hate to call someone a wrong name The guy that did buy my old one is getting a lawyer and probably doing just what you did. Thanks for the reply.

 

Why do you need a lawyer? I've spent most of my life in Illinois and we could apply for a title on our own.

 

BJ he was told to get the lawyer to draw up a petition for new title. This is what the dmv told him to do and he knows all of the people down in Branson/stone county since he was a dealer. I will keep you all posted on how this works.
