Seems I've run into a problem with my 00" 250. The overdrive switch on the column lever does ot appear to be working. Press the button in and no "Off" light, no sounds, nothing. Perhaps a connection in the lever is bad or loose? Or...? Any helpful ideas before I start tearing y steering column apart this weekend? I have a Sunday trip to Indiana with the horse trailer, so I'm hoping this is an easy quick fix.....
chk fuse 45 ,if you haven't already.
10 amp protects that switch and circuit
Make sure your fluid in the tranny is at correct level their is a temp sensor in the tranny that helps the PCM control tranny .
also could be the sw
from the fuse you have a rd/ye wire going to the sw through the sw a tn/wh feeds the pcm module.
this sw is a momentary sw ,if you could find connector 2135 at the base of the colum
disconnect battery before doing this and continuity chk pin 2 to pin 3 of the above connector while pushing overdrive cancel switch . this will save you from taking the colum apart.
