No regen for 1000 miles
I've been on holidays this past while. Towing my car hauler to the Black Hills with an FJ40 on top. Towing a bracket racer around on the same trailer and towing my tinny to the lake to go fishing. And a little bit of highway driving empty.
Anyway, the truck had a regen 300km into my holidays. Its now 1670km past that, and no regen has taken place.
I read that if you are working the truck, heat in the DPF takes care of the soot. But I also read that the truck is programmed to regen every 500 miles, like it or not.
This hasn't happened as I monitor it all the time.
Are these truck supposed to regen every 500 miles?
As a side note, when it does regen you cannnot tell by driving, only by monitoring.
This truck has run flawlessly so far. I changed the oil at 4000km and it sure hasn't made any oil. The DEF was down to about half.

You may have an issue but changes may have been made between 2012 and 2015 that would affect regen. I monitored mine before it was deleted and there was definitely passive regen when pulling a heavy load. Doesn't sound like your loads were that heavy so truck was not worked very hard. Are you just monitoring regen events or soot load? 1000 miles sounds like a lot with no regen in sight..

Mine alerts at 800 MTE so I spend about two weeks clearing it (I filled up at 180 something an hour ago).
Are the new trucks 500 MTE?

I recently traded a 2011 F-350 for a new 2015 F-350. I have an edge CTS and like clock work I would begin to regen at 2.71 DPF soot % on the 2011, with the 2015 I have noticed that DPF soot % increased to 3.50 before regen starts. Did they change this to a larger number or is there something wrong? Any advice would be appreciated.

I read somewhere on this forum that there was an increase. Also, a corresponding increase in the miles you need to drive for a regen to complete.
