Since you are an active poster here, I hesitate to mention the reversal of the top leaf you may seen in this forum. It involved no new parts but labor and temporary clamps. it sounds like you would not miss the load capacity, but it would be an inexpensive way for the rear end.
Buy the way, the last pictures you posted seem to be a whole new truck your working on. Either you switched trucks or have been very busy.
Last year I sold the red/white 66 and bought the turquoise 64. I couldn't have got the 66 to the same condition as the 64 for the money, so I saved a bunch of time, labor, and cash in the deal.
Not trying to hijack or anything but.. If you lower the truck 3-4 inches would you need new shocks? Also would it affect the driveshaft in any way? Sorry if these are dumb questions but I'm just uneducated on this subject. Thanks in advance!
This morning at 8am I ordered a set of stock front springs from General Spring in KC. They ran $310 shipped and include the bushings.
By 11AM I had an email with a tracking number.
My plan is to have a shop reverse the eyes, giving me a 3in drop on the front and do the 4in hanger/shackle drop on the rear. That will give me a 3/4 drop for about $500.

Shocks, not really, but relocation brackets to get the angle back to something more acceptable, yes. Shorter shocks would be beneficial to keep the relocation brackets shorter and farther from the road.
The drive shaft angle is also something that should be checked and adjusted, if necessary.
Hey please post pics of how your drop looks when complete - I am in the same boat as you and do not know enough about these trucks yet to know what is my best bang for my buck. I do not haul or tow besides a bicycle or 2, and the truck is just a cruiser, so whatever I can do to drop the ride for little $$$ is my goal.
I went with a djm lowering kit for the rear end that got me lowered by 4" inches in the rear, and I used a 03 crown vic front suspension. The djm kit came from stylintrucks.com
I have only done the front end as of yet but it was a dramatic drop in my opinion. I plan on doing the rear in the next couple of days. I just did a flip on the leaf. I did need 7.5" half inch squared U bolts up front and only got 7" round U bolts in the rear.
