I'd love to have one done to check it out and then the other after that. Can you please tell me how I can connect this gentleman?

It still looks good

I only got one for the rear tailgate about two years ago as I have a custom grill and a Ranch Hand grill guard.

It cost me $50, with shipping extra.

You may contact the maker at Michael.Steele@sypris.com.

Paint information

I provided the paint information for the truck to make sure it was an exact match.

The lettering is raised,as well as the contrasting trim line, and not flat like I've seen with other emblems.

Information

I contacted the phone number I have for him. It went straight to voice mail.

I left a message letting him know that there is interest on this website regarding his custom painted emblems. I asked him to make himself known if he is interested in making any more.

We'll see if he is still monitoring this website.

He made himself known to me a few years ago. I'll see if I can find the original post and see if I can find him again on this or other forums.

Was he in AZ then when you had it done?

He was not in AZ, nor was I

It is very easy to remove the emblem from the tailgate if done carefully. It helps a great deal if the emblem adhesive is warmed up with a hair dryer to make it a bit more supple.

Some people have used fishing line to loop behind the emblem and then drag across the back of the emblem to separate the emblem/adhesive/tailgate.

There are a couple of forums that have conversations on the subject. That is where he contacted me while I was asking similar questions. I just can't remember which site I was on at the time.

I don't frequent this site. I only responded when notified that someone had posted to this thread.

As you can tell from my gallery. I've pretty much outfitted my truck and I haven't had much of a need to monitor this forum.

I'll see if I can find the thread on another forum. You may find it before I do, as I can't remember my password on the other forums that deal with Powerstroke or Dieselstop .com activity.

Well if you find any more info or can remember where he was located I would appreciate it. Now I feel all dressed up and no place to go!

Surprise!!!!

Mike Steele returned the message I left with him. I was shocked.

He said that he is still willing to help us out with a custom tailgate emblem.

If anyone is still interested, they may reach him at Skeetersteele20@gmail.com

Good timing for me, as mine is beginning to show signs that it needs to be replaced. I've had mine for almost two years and some of the emblem is beginning to flake off of the base.
