The driver's side leather seat in my explorer has a tear in it about 1.5" long, and it's getting bigger...how can I patch it up...I was thinking of taking it to the dealership and ask them what I could do...and some rusting trails in my rear window that I can't get rid off no matter how had I scrub it.
I would go by a sewing material shop like Han***** or even an upholstery shop to see if they have any heat patches that you could use to hold the tear from getting larger. Seat covers from Ford run around $700 per seat...
Next, I would suggest a set of sheepskin covers - or some types of covers. I bought a set of sheepskins from Costco (cheapies) and put them in my father's Ranger. I had bought a set of Explorer seats and put in there. They fit really well, and actually ride great. Plus are a lot more comfortable inthe winter and summer... They were around $40.00 each I think...

Let me know what the price is...I've got the same sort of problem.
