There is a connector that sits on the drivers side, about 1.5 feet from the distributor that does not have a joining connector. It joins a big set of wires that goes to the fuse box. Does anyone know what this is for? I know it isn't the SPOUT.
Looks like a spout.... I tried looking under my hood for it but I have the engine all apart right now and couldn't find anything else that looked like that. I'll keep my eyes open for it and let you know if I find anything out.
yep, I got AC, and it works well. Since this is not connected, it's not it...looks like it should be connected to something. Everything seems to work fine except for my rough idle.
Hey there dbuck50! Is the harness mounted to the engine, or is it mounted to the fender? 18" is a good distance from the distributor. Is it electrical or small hoses for a vacuum or pump?
If you can't move the harness, because it's mounted in the factory location and there's nothing in the engine compartment that will hook up to the harness, Then the only explanation is that there is something missing from the end. Be it just a weather-proof cap or an actual part that assists with the operation of the motor and electricals....
Get back to us.... We'll keep up the search in the meantime... Talk to you guys later....
I have the same thing on my 93 f150! I have been wondering what it is also. At first I thought it was the spout but later realized it was not. It looks almost exactly the same! What is it?
