Now or in the future, never put your wife's name on the title.
That's great Jim! would you say an AOD is worth it? i have a c-3.
For myself , no , I could have had the c/4 rebuilt for a little less money and would have less work getting it all set up to operate right. If i drove the freeway or long stretches of roadways a lot it might pay off . But i just do short drives with it and about the time it goes in to overdrive i have to slow down for a stop sign . I was getting all most as good of mpgs with the C/4. It had a 2bl. carb on the and now has a 4bl. The part i like most about it is the engine runs at less rpm after it goes in to overdrive , saving the engine a little i hope. As far as getting up to speed it will get there with out any problems in freeway traffic. JIM
I understand, I love carb, easier to work on. I have a 67 gta mustang as well. I just want that to be a cruiser, and this to be a daily. "75" it's all about oldschool my man!!! I will eventually prob upgrade from a 302. any suggestions?
My truck came factory , C6 , 302 , air conditioner , full trim , two tone .
All in good shape , except the paint ..... Last I checked , I got around 16 mpg . I can live with that . Worth the cost , My bad back accepts the bench seat well .

351w H.O. from a early 80s f250 cause its a roller motor or a 92-96 351w cause its a roller motor and you can buy an intake that limes up to convert it to carb. Any 351w will bolt to your existing trans

and either one will connect with lines to carb. those were standard efi?
I had a 95 F150 that also had the 302 and even though it could get to 70 and hold there with cruise it really preferred 55 - 65 max, and that was 55 was more or less law of the land anyways (when it was built) so I really didn't care, these things are about as aerodynamic as a brick on wheels so just sit back and relax, enjoy the ride and dress it up for you to enjoy!!!
oh and IF I ever get an opportunity to I plan to get a good F100 to build up, I just love the older trucks, (the newest I plan to have truck wise is nothing newer then 1999 If i can help it for DD) but for a clasic show truck F100 are the ones to hit yes I am only 28 if that tells you any thing about me...
all these answers are great. I just was driving it today, and temp was hot.. GRRRRR. looked, and the coolant was high, so i'm thinking thermostat. Has anyone upgraded to an aluminum radiator?
