That is a nice truck I wish I could drive down there and pick it up right now
Yeah if I didn't already have my 91 F250 I would go for that one if it looked good.
Most older trucks around here don't have much rust at all, I lived in NY for most of my life and cars 5-10 years old were horrible. Fly into Charlotte rent a car and you could be in Lenoir in about 90 minutes.
That truck is good for two things. Parts, or to be driven around up north til it crumbles to dust. I don't care how clean a northern vehicle LOOKS, I bet if you look under it you'll be sorry you even bothered driving out there. Rusty fuel, brake, hydraulic fittings and lines, bolts that you'll be torching off, brackets that you'll never be able to reuse IF you ever get them off.
When I worked at a Ford dealer sometime around 2007 they had this GREAT looking mid-eighties Mercury Grand Marquis, it looked so nice they put it on the floor indoors just off the main showroom floor. I went and just took a casual look around and then opened the door to see the interior which was also in excellent condition. When I closed the door, a shower of rust came down from under the car onto the floor. I just laughed and walked away.
But if you really wanna go look at it... make sure you look it over real good. Once rust starts, it doesn't stop until you grind it out or cut out the rusty part of whatever metal is rusting.
