camber bushings

anyone have some tips on installing camber bushings, and mostly removing the old ones?

there is special tools for removing them

I used a pitman arm puller for many years of front end work. If the bushings are aftermarket aluminum or 2 piece the only way I know is a big hammer and a long heavy chisel.

My alignment shop couldn't get mine out (of the '96 axle I'm using), so I soaked them in Liquid Wrench for a few days and used a LARGE flathead screwdriver to vibrate them out. I backed off the nut so there was ~1/16" gap, then tapped the little vanes on the side toward the slot in the bushing, so it was sort of "closing". Eventually, I could see it move up to the nut, and then it came out easily.
