Does a C-6 require special hard to find tools ?? I know the old GM Hydramatics did. Glad I don't have any of those anymore. I need to get off my can and do more things like that myself but I always had lack of confidence to do it with engines/trans.

You can do it Hoss, no special tools required, just have to keep everything clean...

you'll need a book with pictures, calipers, snap ring pliers, feeler gauges, just common stuff

there are several threads on here where guys did rebuilds

but the C6 is a good one to learn on, yes there's lot's of parts but it only goes back together one way
