gpr help please

i took my truck to the shop. because it kept dying on me turned out my gpr was not turning off and killing my batteries. replaced the gpr now the computer is saying the pcm is bad. shop said i could bypass the pcm by installing a switch. im looking for detailed instructions on how to install the switch till i have the money to get the pcm controller. please help thank you.
